63 Goodbyes represents my personal side of the story during my dad’s (Papa’s) 63 day journey with brain cancer (specifically, anaplastic astrocytoma).

In the telling of this story, I’ve compiled my memories of this time along with pertinent emails and texts, photographs, notes my mom (Nana) took in the hospital and rehab facility, a few blog posts from a previous blog, and some quotes my brother (Mark) was inspired to compose after Papa’s battle ended.  It is my goal to paint as accurate a picture as possible as I tell the story of the 63 days from Papa’s diagnosis to his passing.  I will include a handful of posts beyond that time as well; because life truly has carried on…. as we’ve carried Papa right along with us in our hearts.
