Nana’s Notes:

(I made healthy brownies [for Papa] at home, cleaned things up a bit, & went to Walmart to get waterproof mattress pads & disposable pads before coming to rehab.)

When I got to rehab in the afternoon, Papa was just getting back from his swallowing test.

He’d had a full morning of rehab and was in good spirits and not too tired when he returned.

The results of the swallowing video showed much improvement.  Papa’s diet can be upgraded to soft rather than chopped, & thin liquids (must tuck chin when swallowing).  Speech therapist will start giving swallowing exercises.  She wants to do another video swallow in about six weeks.  There’s still some trickle with liquids.
